The same residual diagnostics evaluated before the fit, at the muzzle velocity and BC the request was entered with.

UncertaintyTruingReportV1::observations is always evaluated at the fitted MAP, so on its own it can only draw an “after” column. Pairing the two lets a client show what truing actually changed per observation. A client cannot reconstruct this itself without reproducing this module’s forward model exactly – same zero solve, same interpolation, same opt-in effects – and a baseline computed any other way is not comparable with the fitted column it sits beside.

Fields

muzzle_velocity_fps: f64

The request’s entered model.muzzle_velocity_fps. Echoed, like UncertaintyTruingReportV1::priors, so a rendered “before” column can be labeled from the report alone.

ballistic_coefficient: f64

The request’s entered model.ballistic_coefficient, echoed for the same reason.

chi_square: f64

Data chi-square at those entered parameters, directly comparable with TruingUncertaintyDiagnosticsV1::chi_square at the MAP. Prior penalties are excluded on both sides of that comparison: this is a statement about how well the entered load described the observations, not about the objective the fitter minimized.

observations: Vec<WeightedTruingObservationResultV1>

One entry per request observation, in request order.
